Tasmanian raider Hellova Street has returned to racing in outstanding form this time and remains an outright $3.80 favourite in 2017 Victoria Handicap betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au, ahead of Hooked ($6.50) and Arod ($7).

Will Hellova Street justify his favouritism and post a fourth-consecutive win in the 2016 Victoria Handicap, or will one of his talented rivals post an upset?

Rocket Commander ($14)

Rocket Commander was unable to match the late pace in her most recent start, but the mare has posted some terrific results this time in and is weighted to win the Victoria Handicap. Resuming for sixth in the talent-rich Group 3 Triscay Stakes (1200m) on February 13th, the Court Command mare placed fifth in the Group 3 Mannerism Stakes (1400m) before posting a smart win in the Group 3 Wenona Girl Quality (1200m) most notably on March 4th. Drawn into the Victoria Handicap field on the rails, Rocket Commander will ben partnered by in-form hoop Ben Thompson.

Hellova Street ($3.80)

A noted pacesetter, Hellova Street should face little resistance in taking up the early running from barrier 4 and should again find himself right in the finish of the Victoria Handicap. Posting a career total of thirteen wins and ten minors through only twenty-eight competitive starts, the Helike gelding returned from a freshen-up to win both the Listed Thomas Lyons Stakes (1400m) and the Listed Mowbray Stakes (1600m) in Tasmania before storming home to win the Listed March Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on March 18th; his first on the mainland. Hellova Street should have no issue performing to a high standard with 56kgs in tow.

Articus ($8)

Articus has not been seen at the races sin 2017, but the five-year-old has a good first-up record and could relish the condition of the Victoria Handicap. A standout performer in his native Germany prior to being transferred to the care of Darren Weir, the Areion entire was unable to produce much in his one spring start, the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m), but should find a good position off pace from a wide draw on Saturday.
